About the operator
The Planica Nordic Centre is a modern ski jumping and cross-country skiing sports center located in the Planica Valley. It serves as Slovenia’s primary facility for ski jumping, cross-country skiing, and other nordic disciplines, providing excellent conditions for training and competitions at the highest international level. With its programs and facilities, it also makes a significant contribution to the development of young athletes. The center was officially opened on December 11, 2015, and construction took place between 2011 and 2015.
The Planica Nordic Centre is managed by the Sport Institute of the Republic of Slovenia Planica (ZŠRS Planica), which was established by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on June 16, 2009, with the aim of long-term planning, development, and management of sports infrastructure in Planica, as well as providing professional, organizational, and technical support for sports programs.
