Why curling?
Curling is an excellent way to stay active, socialize, and achieve new goals. It is a team sport played on ice, where players slide stones toward a target at the other end of the rink.
Due to its unique dynamics and highly tactical style of play, it is often referred to as “chess on ice.”
Play curling
The curling ice rink in Planica is not intended for competitors only – you can also try this sport yourself. Gather your team (up to 8 people) and book your slot. Your game will be guided by members of the Slovenian Curling Federation.

One game of curling takes 60 minutes
Reservation in advance is required
Meeting point: central building, 15 minutes before your session

About curling in Planica
The curling ice rink is located in the snow tunnel of the Planica Nordic Centre. The cross-country skiing tunnel offers true winter conditions from April until late autumn, with indoor air temperatures maintained at around -2°C.
The Slovenian curling team also trains on this rink as they prepare for major international competitions.
