Disc Golf
An experience amid the Alpine peaks
You are sure to love disc golf, as the course takes you through the idyllic valley of Planica, so you can admire its beauty while you play and have fun.
What is disc golf?
Disc golf is a game very similar to traditional golf, except that instead of hitting a ball into a hole, players throw a frisbee (flying disc) into a specially designed metal basket.
The goal is the same: to complete the course in as few throws as possible.
Trees, bushes, and the varied terrain along the disc’s flight path really challenge players.
Suitable for team buildings
Disc golf is suitable for all generations, as no prior experience is required.
It is also an excellent activity for larger groups or team-building events, as it encourages cooperation (fair play), improves concentration, and provides aerobic exercise.

FAQ
We have collected a list of frequently asked questions about disc golf.
What about groups?
For groups, we recommend booking the course in advance, as this is the only way we can guarantee availability of the track for your group.
When is disc golf available?
The disc golf course is open daily from May until the end of autumn. If you want to check the available time slots, please give us a call or send us an email.
What are the rules of the game?
- The objective of disc golf is to get the disc from the tee area into the basket using as few throws as possible. Different types of discs may be used throughout the game.
- After the first throw, the player whose disc is farthest from the basket takes the next turn. Each subsequent throw is made from the spot where the disc came to rest after the previous throw. Players continue throwing until the disc lands in the basket.
- After releasing the disc, a player may step beyond the throwing point, except when they are within 10 meters of the basket.
- A hole is completed when the disc comes to rest in the basket. The player who completes all holes with the fewest total throws wins the round.
- Please be considerate of other users in the area and leave the course in excellent condition.
How long does a round of disc golf take?
The time required to complete a round depends on your skill level and the pace at which you move around the course. On average, beginners complete a round in approximately 60 minutes.
What equipment do I need for disc golf?
No special equipment is required to play disc golf. Discs are available at the reception desk in the main building. As the game is played outdoors on a grassy course, we recommend wearing suitable footwear.
How many people can play, and who wins?
For a smooth pace of play, groups of 3 to 5 players are recommended. Larger groups should split into smaller groups that start a few minutes apart. The winner is the player who completes the course using the fewest total throws
