FAQ
We have collected a list of frequently asked questions.
Do I need any special equipment for flying?
All necessary equipment is provided on site. Our instructors will prepare a helmet and a flight suit, which you will wear over your own clothing. We only recommend wearing comfortable sports clothing and footwear. Long hair should be tied back.
How long does the wind tunnel experience last?
The entire wind tunnel experience lasts approximately 45 minutes. First, our instructors will explain the rules and the full procedure for safe flying. You will then receive your equipment (helmet, flight suit, and earplugs). This is followed by entering the wind tunnel, where you will fly either 3 times for 1 minute or 2 times for 1 minute.
How long does the flight last?
You will enter the wind tunnel together with an instructor, who will help you learn the correct basic flying position. Once you get used to the strong airflow, the instructor will release you and allow you to fly about 2 metres above the ground. You will enter the wind tunnel several times for 1 minute each (either 2 or 3 flights of 1 minute).
What is the process and preparation for flying?
Our instructors will kindly explain the entire flying procedure, provide the equipment, and answer any questions you may have. Each wind tunnel participant will receive a helmet, earplugs, and a flight suit. The flight suit is worn over your own clothing.
Is a reservation required for the wind tunnel?
For wind tunnel flying, advance booking is required. Guests and the provider will agree on a suitable time due to the limited availability of instructors. Reservations and purchases can be made online.
We recommend arriving at the reception desk of the center (the main building opposite the ski flying hill) at least 10 minutes before your scheduled session.
What about groups in the wind tunnel?
For groups, it is possible to arrange a booking outside regular operating hours. The minimum group size is 10 people. In one hour, 6 people can take turns in the wind tunnel.
When is the wind tunnel open?
The wind tunnel operates on pre-scheduled dates based on the availability of our instructors.
For information about available time slots, please contact us by email or give us a call. We will be happy to help you find a time that suits you best.
Is flying in a wind tunnel safe?
Flying in a wind tunnel is a safe activity, as you are under the constant supervision of trained and qualified staff. The wind tunnel is equipped with a special flexible safety net at the bottom, which allows flyers to land or fall safely onto it. Your entire flight is monitored by both the wind tunnel operator and an instructor.
The typical flying height is approximately 2 metres above the ground. It is possible to fly higher, but this is not suitable for beginners.
