Classic guided tour – Behind the scenes of Planica
The guided tour includes a visit to the cross-country stadium, the indoor cross-country tracks in the underground snow tunnel, both wind tunnels, and the view from the observation deck. Together with a guide, you will also see all the ski jumping hills and take a chairlift ride to the top of the Gorišek Brothers’ ski flying hill, followed by a return trip by chairlift.

Upgrade your classic guided tour with a unique experience: explore Planica with Franci Petek or Jelko Gros – two prominent figures of Planica who present it from first-hand experience. Before the tour begins, you will be welcomed with a drink and a dessert (Planica Cake), followed by a tour that introduces Planica from a different, more personal perspective.
The guided tour is organized under the auspices of Mastercard.

Guided museum tour
On a guided tour of the Planica museum discover everything about the records, how the first jumps beyond 100 and later 200 meters were achieved, as well as the rich history of Planica and the development of ski jumping. As part of the museum, you’ll also find a simulator where you can try yourself in the role of a ski jumper. The experience concludes with a 20-minute film about Planica.

The duration depends on the program. It usually lasts around 60–120 minutes, while extended tours (e.g., including the museum and chairlift ride) can take longer.
What does the guided tour of the Planica Nordic Centre include?
Can the guided tour be combined with other activities?

Where is the meeting point for the tour?
The meeting point is at the central cross-country skiing facility (the round building opposite the ski flying hill), 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
In which languages are the guided tours available?
Our guides can conduct the tour in Slovenian, English, German, or Croatian.
What is the schedule for guided tours of the Nordic Centre?
The tour schedule depends on the Nordic Centre’s opening hours. You can check the current opening hours under the “Info – Opening Hours” section. Advance booking is required for all guided tours.
Can tours for groups and companies be arranged on request?
Yes. We offer group tours, corporate visits, and tailor-made programs (including timing, duration, focus areas, and additional activities).
Is the visit accessible for people with limited mobility?
Yes. Planica is accessible to everyone, and we will do our best to ensure you can experience it as fully as possible. Accessibility depends on the selected program and individual points of the visit. We recommend contacting us in advance so we can suggest the most suitable option.
Do tours take place in all weather conditions, and what do you recommend regarding equipment?
Guided tours also take place in less favorable weather conditions. We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing, including a rain jacket. In case of storms (e.g., strong wind or lightning), the part of the tour involving the chairlift ride is canceled or the program is adjusted accordingly.
Is the guided tour suitable for children and families?
Yes. The tour is suitable for families, and the guide can adapt the content to the age of the children. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
