9th First Responders Meeting

    https://prviposredovalci.si/The traditional event, organised by the First Responders Association, is dedicated to training, sharing experiences and testing first responders’ knowledge and skills in realistic scenarios. First responders play an important role in the emergency medical system, responding to calls from the emergency medical dispatch service in life-threatening situations. Their knowledge and rapid response can make a crucial difference in saving lives before emergency medical teams arrive.  

Knowledge That Saves Lives

The meeting in Planica brings together teams of first responders from across Slovenia. Participants put their knowledge and skills to the test through carefully designed scenarios that simulate real-life emergency situations. At the same time, they gain valuable experience, exchange knowledge and strengthen cooperation, which is essential when it comes to saving lives. One of the highlights of this year’s event will be a demonstration exercise simulating a serious traffic accident at 13:00. Visitors will have the opportunity to see how first responders and other emergency services react and work together in the event of a serious road accident. Last year, the 8th First Responders Meeting in Planica brought together 18 teams from across Slovenia, who tested their knowledge and skills in various emergency scenarios. The programme also featured a large-scale demonstration exercise involving the Police Special Unit, the Police Aviation Unit with a helicopter, the Ljubljana University Medical Centre Emergency Medical Service and other emergency services. The event also aims to raise public awareness of the importance of first aid, basic life support and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).   We are delighted that the Planica Nordic Centre will once again serve as the main sponsor and venue for an event that brings together people whose knowledge, courage and willingness to help can save lives when it matters most.
