Rich heritage of Nordic skiing
The Planica Museum is located in the central building of the Planica Nordic Centre, where the rich heritage of Slovenian Nordic skiing is showcased.
In Planica, the magical milestones of 100 and 200 metres were first surpassed. For decades, Planica has driven the development of ski flying and set new standards in the sport. Today, you can relive these remarkable breakthroughs in a museum dedicated to the rich history of ski jumping and ski flying.
Glory to Stanko Bloudek, Jože Gorjanc, and the Gorišek brothers
The first floor of the museum is dedicated to the era of Bloudek’s giant hill and the beginnings of ski jumping in Slovenia. The second floor is dedicated to the era of the Gorišek brothers’ ski flying hill and the more recent history of the Planica valley.
Exclusive collection of Peter Prevc
At the Planica Museum, you will find a complete and unique collection from Peter Prevc’s career – from his beginnings to unforgettable victories that shaped the world of ski jumping.
This is an exhibition you won’t find anywhere else in the world, making it one of the museum’s most valuable and distinctive highlights.
